LKPR is a vibrant, marketing communications agency based in New York City that offers media relations, social media services, brand marketing and creative services.

Strong PR generalists who are versatile and able to adeptly pitch across industries and beats are preferred.

​

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior account executive to meet (and exceed!) client goals as key account member

• Identify appropriate B2C & B2B media targets for a wide range of clients and pitch angles

• Build deep relationships with key media, and always be on the hunt for new ones!  

• Draft compelling pitches in client voice that inspire placements across mediums 

• Be a consumer of all things media and stay current on industry news & trends to keep clients in the conversation

• Develop PR & marketing materials people want to read, from pitches and press releases to product descriptions, e-marketing campaigns, blogs and event invites

• Participate in and actively contribute to client meetings & agency creative brainstorms—your ideas are important and will be heard! 

• Communicate with clients, always representing LKPR and the awesome work we do 

• Conduct research & competitor analysis to support client programs and new business efforts 

• Manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and share progress updates

• Be an ambassador for your clients at all times, and protect their brands as if they’re your own

• Demonstrate understanding of social media platforms to reach journalists, influencers and consumers; if you have experience developing engaging brand social content, even better!

• Collaborate with talented, creative teams across marketing disciplines
   

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years’ experience with a minimum of one year doing media relations—preferably in a New York City agency environment

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field

• Bragworthy portfolio of media placements

• Impressive verbal/written communication skills and high level of professionalism

• Self-starter, multitasker and team player

• Live for the placement—whether it’s in ink, on-air, online or an influential TikTok video, it gets your heart pumping!

• Be flexible, creative & resourceful to make good things happen for clients—if there's a way, you'll find it!

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in PR tools like Cision and TV Eyes

• Familiarity with Google Drive, DropBox and Microsoft Office Suite

• Working knowledge of major social media platforms
